How To Re-enable Continuation On Available Stores

Abstract

Re-enable Continuation On Available Stores is a draft-only bulk action on the Dividers Contract. It turns Continuation back on for reservation rows that had it cancelled, skipping any store that would overbook or break industry exclusivity, then shows you what changed.

That skip-and-report behavior is what makes this tool different from clearing Cancellation Date by hand (which you can do on draft or submitted contracts, with no automatic skip list).

You must Save

This action does not save. It edits the form in the browser and marks it dirty. Closing the contract without saving discards the change.

After the dialog: click the black Save button in the upper-right corner.

Before You Start

  • The Dividers Contract is Draft. This Manage action appears only on draft contracts. On a submitted contract the button is hidden; if called anyway the system rejects it with You can only enable continuation on available stores in Draft mode.
  • Candidates are enabled reservation rows that already have Continuation on and a Cancellation Date.

Instructions

Tip

Keep track of your place below by clicking on the gray checkmarks.

  • Open the draft Dividers Contract.
  • Click Manage → Re-enable Continuation On Available Stores.

The form freezes with Checking store availability…

  • Read the summary dialog Enable Continuation On Available Stores.

Copy: Continuation was re-enabled on all available stores that had a cancellation date.

Alert: Please save to persist your changes.

Tables: Skipped (Row, Store, Reservation, Reason) and Enabled (Row, Store, Reservation).

If nothing to do: No cancelled continuation rows to process.

  • Click the black Save button in the upper-right corner above the form to save your changes.

What the Dialog Changes

For each row listed under Enabled, the form clears:

  • Cancellation Date,
  • Continuation End Cycle / Continuation End Date, and
  • Cancel Continuation Pre-Commencement.

The same fields on the contract header are cleared as well.

Nothing is written to the database until you Save.

Why a Store Is Skipped

Not the latest active row for this store
Only the latest-start enabled row per store is eligible.
Would overbook store
Re-enabling Continuation would conflict with occupancy.
Industry exclusivity conflict ({industry})
Re-enabling would break exclusivity.

A row with no linked reservation throws and aborts the whole preview — fix that row before trying again.

After Submit: Re-enable Without This Tool

On a submitted contract you cannot run this Manage action. You can still put Continuation back on by clearing Cancellation Date (and related Continuation end fields) on the contract header and/or on individual reservation rows — those fields allow update after submit.

That path does not build a skip list. Save will run normal occupancy and exclusivity checks; rows that would overbook fail validation instead of being quietly skipped. Use the draft bulk tool when you want “enable wherever free, report the rest.”
