Understanding Contract Fulfillment

Fulfillment answers one question: does this contract's reserved space match what was purchased?

Purchased and Reserved here are period counts (stores × cycles or months), not dollar amounts.

Purchased, Reserved, and Balanced

These three ideas are the whole of fulfillment math. They are period counts (not dollar amounts).

Purchased

Total Stores × Total Periods on the contract — the period count the customer bought. It comes from the contract totals, not from summing reservation rows.

Purchased*

If Adjust Totals has changed Total Stores or Total Periods so those totals no longer match the original reservation rows (rows still marked Original Reservation), fulfillment still uses the adjusted totals as Purchased. That is called out on the panel as Purchased* — see Reading the Panel.

How to turn on Adjust Totals: Manually change the price per cycle/month.

Reserved
The sum of periods on reservation rows with Enabled selected — the stores and periods where ads will run. Disabled rows can still sit on the contract; they do not count toward Reserved.
Balanced
Reserved equals Purchased (difference of 0). Short means periods still need booking; over means more is enabled than was purchased.

Where to Look

Analyze Contract Fulfillment

On a draft Dividers Contract: Manage → Analyze Contract Fulfillment.

The form freezes with Analyzing fulfillment…, then opens a large Contract Fulfillment dialog. There are no buttons in the footer — close the dialog when you are done.

On Adjust Contract Reservations

The same panel is live on the Dividers Contract Reservation Adjustment form under the Fulfillment section. It updates from the linked contract. You do not need the contract to be draft for the panel to display, but you can only Apply adjustments on a draft contract.

Reading the Panel

The panel shows the same Purchased / Reserved / Balanced math as above.

Header

  • Green: Contract periods are accounted for
  • Orange: {n} cycle(s)/month(s) are unaccounted for
  • Red: {n} cycle(s)/month(s) are over-allocated

A badge shows how many chains are off: {off} of {total} chains off.

Three cards

Purchased

The contract period count. Subtitle {stores} stores × {periods} cycles/months.

If totals doesn't match the sum of the original reservation (i.e. Adjust Totals was used) this card is labeled Purchased* with the footnote: Purchased is based on adjusted contract totals, not reservations marked Original. A blue callout shows the original vs adjusted store/period counts.

Reserved
Enabled reservation periods. Subtitle across {n} chains.
Third card (Balanced or Difference)

Compares Reserved to Purchased.

  • Difference of 0: green card labeled Balanced, subtitle balanced.
  • Any other result: card labeled Difference with a + or − quantity. Color is orange when short, red when over. Subtitle is short by … or over by … (stores × periods plus any remainder).

Contract fulfillment by chain

Table under the cards. Columns: Chain, Stores Purchased, Cycles/Months Purchased, Stores Reserved, Cycles/Months Reserved, Cycles/Months Diff.

Purchased is the contract period count attributed by chain; Reserved is enabled reservations on that chain. Rows that are off are highlighted.

Pending Adjustments vs Balanced

On Adjust Contract Reservations, the Pending Adjustments card (Placements − Releases = Total) only counts open rows. It can read 0 while Fulfillment is still short or over because it reads from unapplied releases and placements, not from what exists on the contract. It indicates how the Difference card will change if all pending releases and placements are applied to the contract.

Use the third fulfillment card (Balanced / Difference) — not the Pending card — to decide whether the contract is Balanced.

Amended Contracts

Fulfillment cards use this contract's reservation rows only. The store-count Rel./Plac. columns on the adjustment form also include applied rows from earlier amended versions of the contract. If Rel./Plac. look high on an amended contract, that is why.
