Contract Commissions Breakdown Reference
Background
Contract Commissions Breakdown is a DocType provided by the Dividers app, developed by John Bulcher jbulcher@starstix.com. The purpose is to automatically calculate commissions for a Dividers Contract.

Naming
Contract Commissions Breakdown names are composed of the format:
COMM-[Production Number]
Where:
- Production Number is the value in the "Production Number" of the selected Dividers Contract.
How Commissions Are Calculated (Calculation Groups)
There are three calculation groups that are used to determine the total commission.
- The Standard Calculation Group
- These are all of the normal commissions rules. They are soley based off of the commissionable amount and are calculated before applying any limits.
- The Com limit Calculation Group
- This is the maximum percentage of the commissionable amount available for commissions on the Dividers Contract in question. If there is more than one limit available for calculations, the smallest one is used.
- The Post limit Calculation Group
- These are any commission rules that are applied after all other calculations are performed.
These calculation groups are applied in a three-step process
- The Standard rules are calculated from the commissionable amount, resulting in a sum.
- The Com Limit is applied and the sum from step 1 is reduced if necessary.
- The Post limit rules are calculated from the commissionable amount, resulting in a second sum. This sum is added (or subtracted) from the amount obtained in step 2.
The resulting amount is the commission.

Top Section
- Dividers Contract
- The Dividers Contract Document selected for commissions breakdown.
- Commission Structure Selection

The criteria to be used when selecting the Commissions Structure used to calculate commissions.
- Standard
- Selecting this option fills out the Commission Structure's Table Field with Sales Persons from the Dividers Contract's Sales Team field. The Sales Roles "Rep" and "Presenter" are enabled for selection.
- ISO
- Selecting this option fills out the Commission Structure's Table Field with the Sales Partner from the Dividers Contract. This forces the Sales Role "ISO" in the Commission Structures Table Field.
- Telesales
- Selecting this option fills out the Commission Structure's Table Field with the Sales Persons from the Dividers Contract's Sales Team field. The Sales Roles "Rep", "Presenter", "TS Rep All", "TS Presenter", and "TS Appt Setter" are enabled for selection. At least one telesales role must be selected.

Commission Structures Section
- Commission Structures

A map of Sales Persons/ISO from the Dividers Contract to the Commission Structure(s) that will be used to calculate their commission.
- Sales Person

The Sales Persons in the Sales Team field, or the Sales Person that corresponds to the ISO (used when "ISO" is selected in the Commission Structure Selection Field).

- This field is used when selecting the Commission Structure Document. It must match the "Applicable Sales Role" field.
- Commission Structure
- The commission rules are pulled from this document so that commissions can be calculated.
Commission Adjustments Section
- Contract Commissionable Adjustments

This Table Field lists any adjustments to the commissionable amount of the Dividers Contract.
- Description
- A short description of the adjustment.
- Store Adjustment
- A checkbox. If selected, a Dividers Store must also be selected, and the adjustment percent is calculated based on the commissionable amount of one store instead of the entire Dividers Contract.
- Percent
- The percent of the commissionable amount. If a value is entered here, the Amount (below) is calculated based on the commissionable amount (or if the Store Adjustment option is selected, the commissionable amount of a single store).
- Amount
- The actual amount that will be added to or subtracted from the Commissionable amount.

- The Dividers Store responsible for this rule's selection, if any.
- Store
- A checkbox indicating that this rule affects a single store. This checkbox is designed to allow the identification of store-based rules in the Table Field without opening up a row.
- Percent
- If the calculation group is Com limit, Percent indicates the maximum commission rate that can be earned. Otherwise this field is used to calculate the Amount (see below).
- Amount
- This field contains the amount this rule adds or subtracts from commissions.

- Sales Person
- This rule affects the indicated Sales Person's commissions.

- Dividers Store
- The Dividers Store this rule relates to, if any.
- Store
- A checkbox indicating that this rule affects a single store. This checkbox is designed to allow the identification of store-based rules in the Table Field without opening up a row.
- Percent
- If the calculation group is Com limit, Percent indicates the maximum commission rate that can be earned. Otherwise this field is used to calculate the Amount (see below).
- Amount
- This field contains the amount this rule adds or subtracts from commissions.

- The percent of the Total Price this store's commission makes up.
Commission Breakdown Section
- Standard Commission Amount
- The portion from calculating the Standard rules that apply to this reservation.
- Commission Limit Amount
- The maximum amount available for commission.
- Post Limit Amount
- The portion from calculating the Post limit rules that apply to this reservation.
- Standard Commission (%)
- The percent of the total the Standard Commission Amount makes up.
- Commission Limit (%)
- The maximum amount available for commission as a percentage of the total commissionable amount.
- Post Limit (%)
- The percent of the total the Post Limit Amount makes up.
